How much Battletech tabletop have you played? Seems like you haven't.

The Pilots will eject when they panic? This is not even close to the tabletop and is also stupid and garbage. Falling back, fleeing makes sense, but not ejecting on a planet who is probably lethal and while you are in a battle and everything explodes around you. It even wouldn't feel save to do something like this.

I've never been able to play this mod. It loads endlessly at the start of a new campaign, no matter what i do.

Quill... as for the Argo upgrades, even in the Vanilla game you don't see Bay 3 and most upgrades until you get some of the core upgrades (power conduits and structure)

You fail to mention how buggy this mod is. Sometimes it won't start a mission during the landing screen and it just locks up, and you have to lower all the graphic settings and reload til it works. Sprinting gets you stuck a lot locking up again, and the Devs of this mod are really kinda mean in the forums too.. they don't like the slightest criticism and constantly remind everyone how lucky we are that they made the mod and how we're all assholes to bring up fixing things.

Any idea how to get past some bugs, Ship upgrades and financial report done but wont finish or change. Also loading combat map that just keeps loading/preparing for combat

Tbh it's so complex that I got exhausted just by watching the gameplay of this mod. Vanila itself consumes a lot of real time when you play the game. This mod is too much.

Triple Strength Moyamer wasn't lost, it was a trap that House Davion allowed House Liao steal and use on their mechs. The moyamer would be destroyed if hit by a special gas, which crippled the Liao mechs and rescue Constance Liao who was charmed into defecting to House Davion, taking part of the confederation with her. This was all during the 4th succession war!

I don't know why anyone would want to make this game harder. I was just on a 3-skull mission in the starter area and the campaign was only about half done, and what did I run into with an unmodded game?
THREE FRICKING HEAVY LANCES AT ONCE
Two lances were comprised solely of Wolverines and Thunderbolts, with the third being 2 Trebuchet, a Vindicator, and a Frigging Orion All on an arid world that didn't seem to effect their heat at all, even when they were standing in a radiation zone, and they had no trouble at all firing on high speed targets (A Griffon, 2 Jaegermechs) inside whirlwinds, but only after they killed the main character. Didn't matter who was doing what to whom, they focused exclusively on the main character until she was dead. Started off with a Dragon that had an AC20++ (Damage and stability) plus near-max armor. Dead in 3 rounds. Re-launched the mission, switched her to an Orion, fully maxed out armor. Dead in 5 rounds. Plus every 1 in 10 enemy shots, including individual missiles, was a headshot of course. And the enemy team always had called shots, plus sometimes they moved 2-3 times a round. Once they moved Four fucking times in one round. Not one mech, ALL OF THEM. As it was I'd whittle them down to 3 or so enemy mechs before I'd get a total team wipe.

What kinda demented masochist would you need to be to think that was too easy?

Huh, are vanilla LRMs actually good? I tend to go for SRM boats that can insta-kill assaults most of the time. I always thought LRMs in comparison were bad, and this mod makes LRMs look straight up useless.

You need to upgrade the structure etc. on the Argo before it reveals the extra upgrades.
PS LOL you champion LRMs yet didn't realize the sensor lock could reveal the red unseen targets;
You will really like LRMs when you use sensor lock!

80% of the mod is just fluff. Pilot injury and permanent evasion mod is nice but everything else is just fan-service....that first Commando is *hurl*. Drop tonnage cost is pointless since it just makes it a financial choice instead of a tactical choice and since you can make money scarce by just changing contract payout, there's no need for all the window dressing. Bigger map is....why bother?

What we need is thematically linked missions (pirate scout, pirate raid, raid pirate etc) that changes the self-contained nature of the random mission generation. Or even just raid/assassination missions that does not provide salvage at all so there's no incentive to drop 4 assaults and kill everything every time (instead of using drop tonnage to gimp yourself on purpose).

Finally, unshackle the AI and let it do reserve - you only need to change 2 lines in the AI global file.

Whoever did this had no clue about the lore or simply didn't care.
Up to 3050 advances were far and between and only after that the leaps started in an arms race.
That said, the RAC didn't appear until over a decade later.
And the other tech is all over the place.
The NSS is even further down the line and no, it can't come from the cache, simply because the old Starleague never had this stuff.

Mod looks awesome thanks for showcasing it.. however I have a feeling you have not put anywhere near enough hours into the actual game to be showcasing a mod. So many differences you missed just because you didn't know how they were in vanilla.

wow, this looks good. Hadn't heard of it and finished the campaign and my interest kindof died. I would love there to be some mini stories added, like chains of missions, not full campaigns, but 3 to 5 mission chains where you actually see something progress.

Kind of does, you still need to pay for fuel. Although it should be just tonnage-based and not based on operating costs. For balance reasons I can understand sticking with operating costs in order to give you more reason to try and use lowtech builds.

Looks like a very interesting mod. One thing bugged my though: RACs in 3031? Seriously? I'm totaly fine with all the Star League stuff, but RACs were invented around 3065 by the FedSuns.
Still, now I feel the urge to get the mod just to build a King Crab loaded up with RACs. :)
